There’s something about embroidered lace that gives off a carefree vibe. To give a boho touch to this edgy look, I teamed this light yellow top up with a pair of lace shorts that I scored at Saks Off 5th for $45! Love it.

In my opinion, investing in a pair of printed pumps is the way to go. If you’re a fashion extrovert, like me, then you can literally toss them on with any outfit that is complimentary in tone. I love these faux-snakeskin, sky-high pumps from Nine West, which were exclusively designed by the editors at InStyle Magazine, because they have foam padding inside to ensure that they are easy to walk in. And let me tell you, I’ve confined my tortured-little soles in a lot of things (i.e. pointe shoes for years) – but these heels are great. Get them now while they’re still in stores.

To polish off this look, sport an assortment of chunky bracelets that are gleaming and gold-hued to bring out your undertones. Pull everything together with a leather-studded clutch to add a contrast to the yellow – and cue the perfect Saturday-night outfit.

Love neon? So do I. It’s still so hot this season. I’ve seen the bold hue on runways, celebrities and in pretty much every single store carrying a spring line. It’s not that difficult to rock – here’s how you do it:

Downplay the bold hue by pairing it with a floral print that’s darker, like these tropical-inspired shorts from Francesca’s Collection. These are great because they exude youthfulness, are comfy and cinch at the waist if you tuck your blouse in. Team them with nude pumps to elongate your legs and draw the attention upwards. Throw in a ton of gold bangles, dainty gold earrings, oversized shades and a neutral clutch with gold accents to give a casual yet, sophisticated look.

Spring Staples from H&M

Spring Staples at H&M

Sunny weather calls for spring staples! Here are a couple different items for spring from H&M (love!) that can be easily transferred into summer looks. All of these fun, functional pieces will work across most of the seasons… at least here in Florida!

I’m a big fan of these bright patterns and ladylike silhouettes that can be easily styled in many different ways. Throw in a couple quirky accessories with gilded accents, flirty sandals to show off your pedicure and a versatile handbag for an instant glamorous look.

When you think of the color yellow, you probably think of cheerfulness, peppiness and optimism. Scientists say the color represents intelligence. Or, if you’re like me, the color yellow represents my awesome highlighter – either way, yellow is very noticeable. So don’t be scared to pair it with attention-grabbing chic accents, like this necklace from Francesca’s Collection or shoes from Just Fab. Wearing the right color can bring out your skin tone and brighten it up. If you’re a brunette, bright yellow is a great color and if you’re a blonde, I suggest sticking to a lighter tone.

When wearing such a bright color, be sure to choose a piece that flows and accents your curves instead of highlighting the bad parts. So hopefully the next time you’re shopping, you consider sprucing up your wardrobe with this fun, bright shade.
