NYC Pt. 1

Outfits: c/o Marshalls

As many of you already know, I’m a huge fan of Marshalls. One of my favorite memories as a child was shopping with my mom at our local Marshalls. Why? Because she never said no. 🙂

Fast forward many years later, I would have never thought in a million years that I’d be collaborating on an ad for all of their stores across the country! Blogging has blessed me with so many wonderful and incredible opportunities in fashion this year, and this is one I’ll never forget!

As many of you saw on my Instagram account last month, I traveled to NYC to shoot looks for Marshalls – an activewear look, a street style look and a couple looks for The CUBE – also known as the area in the store that puts your favorite apparel, bags, sunglasses and accessories from the latest contemporary brands, in one convenient location for juniors, trend lovers and itsy-bitsy petites like me who need to look good – and feel good – without spending a fortune.

I had a blast working with the team at Marshalls, running all over the City and learning the ins and outs to photoshoots. From the pier to the soccer park, the High Line to the Meatpacking district, it was quite the adventure crammed into just a couple of hours!

But the best thing of all is that Marshalls decided to feature a real girl on a real budget with a real love for fashion. How cool is that?!

Don’t forget to upload your #fabfound’s from Marshalls on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with hashtag, #contest, for the chance to win a weekly gift certificate… and who knows… you might be the next one to score big!

Stay tuned for Pt. 2…

The Perfect Mix

Blouse: (c/o) Vince Camuto via Marshalls $39.99/Jeans: H&M $9.99/Heels: Just Fab $39.99/Purse: (c/o) Dolce Vita Handbags $149/Initial Necklace: (c/o) Joyiia $55/Bracelet and Circle Ring: (c/o) Melanie Auld/Snake Ring: (c/o) Belina $32/Midi-rings and Elephant Earrings: (c/o) Versona Accessories $8

By the time the weekend rolls around, I like to be casual and comfortable yet polished and put together because you never know who you may run into – whether it be a cutie or your boss, it’s important to look put together. And let’s not even get into the fact that I live in a small town and see someone I know at least once a day at the grocery store, gym, etc.
Today’s weekend outfit was inspired by this Vince Camuto silk floral blouse from Marshalls. It’s a piece that can be easily dressed up with a structured pencil skirt or dressed down with a pair of cutoff jeans and heels. I accessorized this look with a compact bag from Dolce Vita Handbags to add a pop of color and with little a bling from one of my new favorite designers, Melanie Auld, this initial necklace from Joyiia as well as a couple of midi-rings from Versona Accessories. Overall – It’s the perfect mix of casual pieces, with a little glitz thrown in there to dress it up (#always).
Have a fun and festive weekend!
Xo, Stephanie
P.S. Stay tuned for next week’s big announcement! Ekk, I can’t wait to share it with everyone!

#BestGiftEver Pt. 2

[Chelsae Anne Photography]

Dress: Joie via Marshalls (gift)/Wrap: Marshalls (gift)/Heels: (c/o) Dolce Vita via Marshalls $59.99/Necklace: (c/o) Joyiia $55/Earrings: Francesca’s Collection $14/Circle ring & “Evil Eye” bracelet: (c/o) Melanie Auld/Midi-rings: (c/o) Versona Accessories $8/Snake ring: (c/o) Belina $32

First and foremost, big thank you to Marija, the #ProjectFab blogger from “Sportanista” for sending me the #bestgiftever from Marshalls last week! I absolutely love my new dress and wrap. (Apparently this silk tank dress from Joie retailed for $300, but was nabbed from Marshalls for $20. Um, how amazing is that? Yep, pretty sure that’s a #fabfound.)

Read the rest of her gifting story here.

I wore simple jewelry to keep the attention on my wrap; starting with this initial necklace from Joyiia, a couple of rings and a pair of blue chandelier earrings from Francesca’s Collection for $14. The circle ring and “Evil Eye” bracelet are from designer, Melanie Auld (new favorite). And get this – Kyle Richards from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills aka one of the best shows on television (don’t judge me, I’m human and slightly obsessed) recently wore some of her fabulous baubles on the show and looked absolutely gorgeous in them so if you have any jewelry-obsessed friends on your gift list this holiday season, I definitely recommend pursuing through her line for inspiration.

Top: (c/o) Marshalls $12.99/Skirt: Express $35/Heels: Theory via T.J. Maxx $80/Clutch: (c/o) T.J. Maxx $12.99/Earrings: Francesca’s Collection $14/Circle ring: (c/o) Melanie Auld/Midi rings: (c/o) Versona Accessories $8

Pretty sure a-line skirts look good on just about every type of woman. The trick is finding the right length for your body type. Since I’m petite, I like to wear them on the shorter side to elongate my legs and to appear long and lean. If you’re taller, you can totally opt for an a-line skirt that’s longer (like one that hits you mid-ankle). Either way, these skirts are the perfect shape and universally flattering on all.

Bad news – this one is sold out online. Good news – Express has the same exact style in a ton of super cute colors and prints online right now (find them here) and with some on sale.

Happy December 1st everyone! So much has happened in the past couple weeks – from moving to a new apartment to my trip to NYC (more on that soon!) to starting a new job this week (which I’m beyond excited for!) – it’s been a very very busy time for me!

But enough about that…

Today I’m mailing out a surprise gift to one of my favorite #ProjectFab bloggers. She’s stylish, loves high-end pieces (who doesn’t?) and is very chic and sophisticated so I hope she loves the designer goodie I found for her from Marshalls because I think it fits her style to the tee! And the best part? I bought it 50% off its original price on Black Friday. Can you say #BestGiftEver?! [insert fist pump]

While stocking up on Black Friday finds for my friends and family members, I couldn’t help but get a little distracted and shop for myself – well more like, shop the entire time for myself (don’t judge me). I had been on the hunt for holiday dress and found this classic one on clearance for $39.99. I immediately took it home with me and paired it with heels and this fabulous Daniel Wellington watch, slapped on some red lipstick and threw in a clutch to complete the look. I was also able to style this dress with sparkly earrings and my favorite pair of Rene Caovilla heels. Overall, I found it to be a very versatile little number.

Oh, and how could I forget – since today is Cyber Monday, here’s a list of some of the top sales going on tonight… hurry, there’s still time!
