Dress: (c/o) Ralph Lauren via Marshalls $50 – LOVE this one/Shoes: (c/o) Theory via T.J. Maxx $79.99/Crossbody: (c/o) T.J. Maxx (old)/Necklace: (c/o) Joyiia/Rings: (c/o) Melanie Auld and Versona Accessories/Sunnies: H&M (old) – love this pair!

As you’ve noticed, I’m currently digging loose fitted dresses since it’s still warm here in Florida. They look great with wedges and with over-the-knee boots for all you northerners out there dealing with cold weather right now. This bohemian-inspired one, scored at Marshalls for $50 (originally $98), can be worn by itself or paired with a long cardigan that hits right above the hem (to play around with proportions), and is not only super comfortable and unbelievably forgiving on just about any body type, but super adorable too. I mean, who doesn’t love a baby doll dress?!

Accessorize this number with a classic hat for Saturday’s Green Market or keep it chic with minimal accessories like a dainty necklace, a pair of chic earrings, a bunch of shiny rings and a cute crossbody. Check out one of my favorite jewelry designers here.

And guys, I tried my absolute hardest to find these wedges online but couldn’t! I bought them a couple of weeks ago, so be sure to head over to your local Marshalls or T.J. Maxx to see if they are still there! I know, they are SO cute. I knew I need them the second I spotted them.

Have a great rest of your week!

P.S. Have a question for me? Be sure to leave it below in the comment section or on Insta and I’ll answer it soon in my upcoming Q&A video to celebrate The Style Bungalow’s one-year anniversary!

Maxx $79.99 – identical pair here!/Rings: (c/o) Melanie Auld and Versona Accessories/Sunnies: H&M (old) – love these!

Florida winters bring hot afternoons and brisk evenings. I love it and it’s definitely been a beautiful one, but it’s also been a very warm winter at that! In the event that you live in here in Florida, in a warm climate or are vacationing soon (jealous), here’s how you can transition from day to night by utilizing key pieces in your wardrobe.

Start by grabbing a long sleeve tank top, a chunky sweater, cute canvas shorts and a pair of flats… or if you’re like me, heels. Throw it all on with minimal accessories and grab a clutch that can transition from day to night (this one has a strap that’s tucked inside). Be sure to grab some cool sunnies to block haters… just kidding, more like to block those powerful rays and some lip gloss to complete the look.

Side note, March marks a year since I’ve officially launched The Style Bungalow! Yay! To celebrate, I’ve decided to put together a little Q&A video where I’ll answer your questions – they can be anything – from style advice to tips and tricks to questions about me, etc. so please feel free to comment below and send them my way in the next couple of weeks!

Make it a great Friday!

Jacket: (c/o) Helmut Lang via T.J. Maxx $250/Tee: (c/o) Marshalls $5.99 – similar here/Jeans: (c/o) Paige Denim Jeans via Marshalls $26 – similar pair here/Handbag: (c/o) Rebecca Minkoff via T.J. Maxx $50/Heels: Nine West (old) – love this pair/Sunnies: H&M (old) – find a similar pair here/Necklace and Rings: (c/o) Joyiia, Melanie Auld and Versona Accessories

As many of you know, Marshalls and T.J. Maxx’s clearance sale has been going on for the past couple of weeks. There’s tons of stuff on sale, including designer tops, coats, jackets, dresses, shoes and handbags – all marked down to its absolute lowest price. You have to do some digging in order to find the best pieces in your store, but it’s definitely worth it.

The first thing I purchased was this awesome Helmut Lang bomber jacket at T.J. Maxx for $250, which was originally priced at $700. Yes, that’s right – $700. Crafted with soft, supple leather and waxed cotton, it’s the epitome of cool and something I know I’ll have in my closet forever. I teamed it with a basic black and white tee from The CUBE at Marshalls and a pair of Paige Denim charcoal jeans on clearance for $26 (originally priced at $69). Quick tip – If you’re petite like me, be sure to always check the clearance racks for jeans, tops, blouses, etc. that are on sale because of their awkward size (I normally wear a size 24/25 jean, but these were size
23 and fit me perfectly!).

I threw in a gorgeous Rebecca Minkoff leather handbag priced for $50 (originally $199), a pair of snakeskin pumps and classic aviators to complete the look. And let’s not forget my go-to accessories – my Melanie Auld circle ring, a couple midi-rings, simple gold earrings and my favorite initial necklace from Joyiia.

I bought so so much more and can’t wait to share it with you! Stay tuned and be sure to head over to your local Marshalls or T.J. Maxx to find something great!

Dress: (c/o) Marshalls $16.99 – super cute style here/Sandals: Steve Madden (old) – pre-order them here/Bag: (c/o) Dolce Vita Handbags $148 – order one here/Sunnies: Marshalls (old)/Rings: (c/o) Melanie Auld and Versona Accessories/Lip Color: ‘Red Russian’ via MAC Cosmetics

There’s no denying that a black and white color combination is classic and timeless.

Amal Alamuddin Clooney made her red carpet debut alongside her hubby in a regal black gown by Dior with white leather gloves, Emma Stone stood out in an effortlessly chic black and white Lanvin jumpsuit and Kate Hudson showed off her ahh-mazing toned body in a curve-hugging, plunging white Versace gown at the Golden Globes this year. But those are just a few of my favorite celebrities to rock the black and white trend. You can totally pull off the look on your own. Here’s how I did it:

I started off by wearing a simple and shapeless black and white striped dress from The CUBE at Marshalls for like less than $20, and accessorized it with a luxe, bright red Dolce Vita bag to add some character to my look, Steve Madden sandals, glam sunglasses and a bunch of shimmery rings. Some of you may think that a billowy dress isn’t chic – but I definitely think that if you keep everything else neat and pulled together, it can be look so fab. If you’re curvy and fabulous or would like to highlight other parts of your body like your teeny tiny waist or your long legs, you can easily belt this type of dress to show it off. And if you feel like hiding and don’t feel comfortable wearing a tight fitted dress because you’ve had one too many glasses of champs over the holidays, this dress will do wonders for you. Many stylists have told me that a good outfit starts with understanding proportions and your body type (see Resolution #2 below for more on this and be sure to search for a tailor in your area to ensure your outfit game is on point this year).

Outfits: c/o Marshalls
As I mentioned in my previous blog post, “NYC Pt. 1,” I teamed up with Marshalls last month to shoot a couple of looks for their “Post-Holiday,” in-store signage. Not only was it so much fun to run around the City and cram in like five different outfits in a couple of hours under the watchful eye of their awesome creative and digital teams who helped coach me throughout the process, but it was an opportunity of a lifetime to have the chance to do something that I would have never, ever – in a million years – dreamt would happen to me because of my love for fashion!
Since the signage has gone live, I’ve had a number of readers ask me why I wear so much stuff from Marshalls and why I love shopping there so much. So, to answer your question…
I’m a real girl on a real budget with a HUGE love (more like obsession) for fashion. Trust me, as much as I’d love to tote around like five different Chanel handbags and wear designer labels all the time, I can’t because that’s not realistic for me… right now. I’ve had to spend much of my life replicating high-end looks on a budget, which is the reason why I’m always shopping at Marshalls for designer goodies on sale or for trendy pieces. So I promise this love for Marshalls is real people and has been since I was like twelve years old. My mom will attest to it and my dad will tell you stories of how we used to hide shopping bags from him in the garage every time we’d go shopping there (and how we got away with it every time).
But just when I thought things couldn’t get better…
Marshalls has asked me to come back and do it again! But this time, for Spring! (See Dad! It was worth it after all!)
We’ll be shooting in beautiful and sunny Miami for the next two days! Be sure to follow along on Instagram (@thestylebungalow) to catch a glimpse at all the behind-the-scenes action!
Have a great Wednesday!

Blouse: (c/o) Marshalls $19.99/Shorts: (c/o) Marshalls $14.99/Heels: (c/o) Steve Madden via Marshalls $39.99/Clutch: Francesca’s Collection (old)/Evil Eye Bracelet and Circle Ring: (c/o) Melanie Auld/Midi-Rings: (c/o) Versona Accessories $8

I love this time of year because it’s the perfect opportunity to hit refresh and map out what you want. Whether you’ve decided to get fit, save up or move to a different city, there’s no better time to declare what you want and to go after it. Beyond my usual, boring resolutions like “Listen more and talk less” (It’s one every year, I swear), I’ve put together a couple “style resolutions” since I’m always thinking about it, my personal style and shopping.

So, without further ado… here they are!

1. Save up and buy an investment piece… a watch, designer handbag or pair of Sophia Webster heels.

2. Visit my tailor more often. It makes SUCH a difference! Message me if you need a good one in West Palm Beach.

3. Quality over quantity. It’s time to purchase pieces that will last the test of time and build a fabulous wardrobe. Don’t get me wrong… fast fashion is great, but this year I want to try and mix things up.

4. Embrace change. Fashion is constantly changing so learn to go with the flow and try something different.

5. Amp up my skincare routine.

And the biggest one of all…

6. WEAR FLATS. Maybe. I haven’t decided on this one yet.

What do you want to make happen in the coming year? Let me know what your style resolutions are in the comment section below! I’m dying to hear them!

Oh, and – THANK YOU to everyone who commented on my recent collaboration with Marshalls. It’s been such a fun experience! Next week I’m headed to Miami to work on another project with them and can’t wait to give you a behind-the-scenes glimpse at what’s in store for Spring. Stay tuned and have a great weekend!
