If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you probably noticed this dress from one of my #mirrormoments at Marshalls. I went in thinking I would spend FIVE minutes “window shopping” and left with this dress and more. I couldn’t resist!

I adore this look because it’s sexy and playful, yet so feminine and classic! The dress is by an Australian designer called, Paint it Red, and is no longer available online. So to help achieve a similar look, I’ve linked a ton of similar styles at different price points below.

Keeping it short and sweet today because so much more is on it’s way!

Have a great Thursday…

West Palm Beach has some of the prettiest historic neighborhoods – this one, has streets lined with big trees, vintage homes that are known for their architecture and that have beautiful landscaping. It’s a short stroll from downtown and the Intracoastal, where there are restaurants, boutiques and lots of fun (if you ask me)! My friend and ahh-mazing photographer, Chelsae and I are always looking for new locations to shoot looks so the second we drove by this spot, we pulled over to capture some pretty awesome afternoon shots.

I love this look because it pulls together a few of my favorite springtime trends – silk shifts, which are flattering and called “classic” for a reason – and laced up, tasseled heels. Both will last you all year, especially if you live here in SoFla!

This dress was purchased at Marshalls, but you can easily recreate this look on your own by wearing similar items. All you need is a basic shift, a belt (to cinch it in), nude heels, straw tote and a bunch of fresh flowers.

Love it? Shop similar pieces below (or above!).

I LOVE LOVE LOVE combining a simple button down with ripped up denim and sexy sandals. Since buying these American Eagle jeans from Marshalls a month ago, I’ve worn them a bazillion times because they are SO comfortable and soft to the touch. I also love that the relaxed fit is slouchy – but not too slouchy – in all the right places jeans are supposed to fit. Being petite, it’s hard to find a good pair of jeans that don’t overwhelm my frame and are the right length. (This is why I roll up my jeans all the time…)

Wishing everyone a great week ahead!

I tried on this button-down shirt a couple of months ago at Ann Taylor, but didn’t buy it because it was full price. So the second I spotted it at T.J. Maxx for like a third of the price, I got excited. Like real excited.

Initially, I envisioned wearing it with a pencil skirt, but decided that was kind of boring so I paired it with a pair of distressed denim instead. I threw in a pair of funky heels in the same color family (i.e. blues with blues) to spice things up and a orange clutch to break things up.

Fun fact: If you’re ever wondering what colors go together, refer to a color wheel. It’s the quickest way to see what color works best with what you’re wearing… or what color “compliments” it. By “complimentary,” I mean whatever color is on the opposite side of the color wheel (i.e. black and white, red and blue, purple and yellow, green and mauve…).

You can also wear different shades of the same color or similar colors – like what I’m doing above – to achieve a cohesive look.

Still stuck? Visit to see how other people are styling the same color, then make note of it and try to replicate it on your own. I do this all the time – for both colors and outfit ideas.

Per usual, I digress… lol

ANYWAYS, so sorry I’ve been MIA on my blog this week. I don’t have an excuse other than the fact that I’ve been struggling with WRITER’S BLOCK like BIG time lately. I’m not one to write just anything on my blog so I figured the best way to overcome it was to take a step back to help churn up some inspiration. Anyone else been there?

Needless to say, I’m back and have a TON on the way over the next couple of weeks. From Marshalls to Bloomingdales, known designers to new designers, I’m covering a lot on The Style Bungalow. Stay tuned…

Have a great Monday everyone!

P.S. – Ann Taylor has an identical shirt on their website for 50% off (use code: CYBER50). It’s not the same price I paid for at T.J. Maxx, but close enough!

With music season here and Tortuga Music Festival right around the corner, I figured I’d put together a quick outfit guide, detailing what I would wear to a music festival event – all under $150.

Necessities include: comfortable shoes, a breezy top and cute shorts because – seriously – how else will you fend off the heat?! You’ll also need a pair of sunglasses, bikini and a bunch of fun accessories with bright colors. Want something more feminine? Try a dress or a cute romper.

Don’t forget! Tortuga Festival is this Saturday and Sunday, April 11-12 in Ft. Lauderdale. You can get last minute tickets now by visiting:!

Spring 2015 with Marshalls

Today on The Style Bungalow, I’m sharing my behind-the-scenes moments from my photo shoot in Miami for Marshalls. Having had so much fun back in NYC with Marshalls (see Pt. 1 & Pt. 2), I was beyond excited to get the chance to work with them again for their spring campaign.

We took most of the photos in Key Biscayne, FL and some in South Beach. I had a great time hanging out with the creative team at Marshalls, meeting the models, photographers and working with some really cool people. Above all, I enjoyed experiencing how a major photo shoot comes together.

So… here it is!

Day 1 started with two different looks…

The second look…

I ended the day with a fitting back at the hotel. Our poor seamstress had to completely alter most of my outfits because I’m SO short, but she did an amazing job! I’m telling you, the secret to a great outfit is all in the fit!

Screen shot 2015-04-04 at 11.26.45 AM

We woke up at the crack of dawn for hair and makeup and took a ton of photos the next day. It was a long day but everything went so smoothly and we had lots and lots of fun! How beautiful is this shot?!

I haven’t worn a tankini in awhile, but this one was too cute! It’s perfect for a day of paddle boarding or  yoga on the beach…

I absolutely love mixing prints and taking chances with my outfits. This one was totally up my alley! I threw in my own necklace and heels to add more personality to this outfit.

Wearing my favorite look of the day… This leather hat was on ANOTHER level. I was IN LOVE.

The awesome crew at Marshalls…

The idea was to shoot photos for their social media channels so I was beyond excited/surprised to see that some of the photos from my shoot made their way to in-store signage. What?! SO cool!!

Thank you so much Marshalls for having me be a part of such a fun experience! I had a blast!

Wishing everyone a happy holiday weekend and my parents a happy 29th anniversary!
