Hey guys!

Hope you’ve had a great week so far!

This week is insane for me… I’m guest judging the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation’s Haute Tea event on Friday and hosting another shopping event at Saks Fifth Avenue in Boca Raton from 1-4PM on Saturday!

Guests who stop by Saks on Saturday will get a free leather clutch from Parker when they spend $250 in the contemporary department (where I’ll be) + tons more goodies. So be sure to stop by!

Back to fashion…

Growing up, I wore mini denim skirts all the time because they went with everything in my closet. I wore distressed denim skirts, ones with pleats, beads, patches, ruffles… you name it! So the thought of wearing a denim mini today makes me really happy. Who knew they would make sure a big comeback!

The great thing about denim minis – especially this one – is that they tend to be affordable, versatile and easy to wear as long as you find the right one for your body type.

I love this mini because it has a longer hemline and an a-line structured shape, which help elongate your legs. I also love how the buttons go all the way down the front.

Pair it with heels and you have an effortlessly sexy look. Pair it with gladiator sandals and a floppy hat with a crop top and you have an adorable look.

NYFW Recap

Hey guys!

Thought I’d share some more pictures from my first fashion week experience!

If you’ve never been, it’s a nonstop parade of shows, meetings and parties – all over the city! It’s definitely exhausting running all over the place but super exciting at the same time because it was such a thrilling thing to experience.

I arrived to New York on Friday, Sept. 11 from Boston and immediately dashed to meetings. Then, back to my friends place to change and straight to the Nicole Miller show. Traffic was INSANE – it took me an hour and a half to get there but was so worth it! My seats were amazing!

Think lots of pops of color, interesting fabrics and eclectic pieces…

I wore Porte Mode to the show with Shop Prima Donna accessories.

I spent the rest of the night hanging out at a cool bar with a friend called Wren, sushi at some random spot and strolling the streets of Soho.

On Saturday, I woke up early (because I was staying on the other side of town) for the Lacoste show in Tribeca.

Of all the shows, this one was the hardest one to see. I stood the entire time – hence the icky photos!

This year’s show was inspired by the 2016 Summer Olympic games in Rio. Think lots of futuristic shapes, capes and geometric patterns and visors.

Later that night, I went to the Monique Lhuiller show and had the most AMAZING seats! Inspired by contemporary art (for all my ballerinas out there – she played music from “In the Upper Room” before the show) and bold colors, balancing “whimsical elements with sculptured lines.” She also used tons of PINK! Swoon…

Sunday was by far the busiest day for me!

It started with a preview of the Elie Tahari Spring 2016 collection. There were lots of embroidered and textural fabrics and sleek, modern silhouettes. Think “future meets natural.”

Gladiator sandals completed most of the looks. Can’t wait to get my hands on a pair!

From there, I dashed to Chelsea for the RewardStyle rooftop party. I connected with old friends and made a ton of new ones. Loving how tight knit the blogger community is! <3

Tara from the blog, “Jimmy Choos and Tennis Shoes” and I cut our time short at the party to go to the Jenny Packham show. There, we connected with reporter, Christian Ramirez from Telemundo to watch the dreamy show.

But seriously, can we talk about this lineup?

I spent the rest of night catching up with a friend on the rooftop at The Peninsula Hotel, eating hotdogs and walking (in heels – yes, I was dead at this point) around the city.

I woke up Monday morning beyond exhausted. I had a trillion blisters on my feet, dark circles under my eyes from a lack of sleep and a sore back from wearing heels too much. I wanted to take the morning off to rest, but my friend talked me into going to the Lela Rose show before my flight back to Florida.

I’m SO happy I did because this show was breathtaking.

The collection had an ethereal feel to it. And as you can see, it moved from softer hues of posy and shell into a radiant orange and finally to citrine. Triple swoon…

Fall is right around the corner!

Photo Aug 02, 6 03 06 PM

Good news – you can easily transition your wardrobe from summer to fall.

Buy a couple pieces, like a new black clutch, fringed skirt, leather jacket (if you’re up north) and mix and match them with things you already have in your closet like plain tees, heeled sandals and ripped jeans.

Photo Aug 02, 6 02 02 PM

This fringe skirt, by Alice + Olivia, is an investment piece but one you’ll have for a lifetime because it’s made with suede (and suede never goes out of style… at least in my book!). It’s also a great skirt to wear in the winter with tights and boots or with a black silk spaghetti top and jewels to an event.

Photo Aug 02, 6 05 48 PM

It moves with each step and has a great silhouette. Definitely a conversation starter!

Have a great week everyone! <3
