Floridians love wearing white jeans year round. It’s totally acceptable here. They look great with tees, white on white, button-downs, navy blazers – just about anything and everything. White jeans will make any outfit look crisp and clean… Plus, they make your legs look great!

That’s why I was super excited to style this pair for my last challenge with American Eagle. What better way to wrap up this exciting collaboration?!

This style, known as the “Jegging,” is by far the best fit for my petite frame at American Eagle. Not only do they hug my curves, but also feel like second-skin and never lose their shape… something you don’t find often with affordable denim.

Photo Jan 05, 5 03 51 PM

Not petite? Not to worry. American Eagle carries a variety of fits and washes so that you can find your perfect pair. Seriously. They have so many options…

Photo Jan 05, 5 02 30 PM

For this look, I styled my white jeans with a boyfriend button-down and with bright blue heels. I threw in a brown clutch and aviators to tie it all together and to add a classic touch.

Last week, I was challenged by American Eagle to style three denim styles. Today I’m sharing Pt. 2! Have a look…

Um… yeah, these jeans rock.

And are my favorite style so far! I love skinny ripped jeans. They’re a great way to inject edge into an outfit. Skinny jeans are also extremely versatile and easy to style. So far, I’ve worn them with a sweater and sneakers to run errands and with a leather jacket to dinner with friends. The list goes on and on…

Above all, I love how they fit my body, accentuate my curves and how they make my legs look. American Eagle offers a number of sizes – including short sizes – in most denim styles. So, if you’re petite like yours truly, I highly recommend browsing their line. Plus, they’re really affordable!

And stretchy :-p Can you say #alldaycomfort? #LOVE

_MG_8343_chelsaeanne

How great is this length?! It’s perfect. (I’m 5’2″ and typically wear a size 00/0) No need to roll up the bottoms.

Photo Jan 05, 6 02 13 PM

For this particular look, I added a silver statement necklace with black pumps (click the link above to see how much these bad boys cost!) and aviator sunglasses to further the rock n’ roll vibe I was going for. A black blazer from BCBG with an AEO Soft & Sexy swingy tank in tan tied this look together.

Planning to wear them over and over… Yup, I’m a skinny jeans girl – in a forever kind of way.

 SWEATER: Forever 21 – similar herehere and here/JEANS: (c/o) American Eagle/HEELS: Steve Madden/BELT: BCBG/WATCH: (c/o) Larsson & Jennings

Hello, friends! Happy Friday!

Today marks the start of my 3-part series with American Eagle where I’ve been challenged to style three fits of denim! I couldn’t think of a better project to kick of the New Year because a.) American Eagle rocks and b.) As you guys know, I’m a sucker for jeans!

Photo Jan 05, 4 16 20 PM

Truth be told, my addiction to jeans is problem but I ain’t gon stop buying them. I probably have close to 50 pairs of jeans in my closet right now. For someone who lives in a teeny tiny studio apartment, that’s a lot of closet space.

_MG_7918_chelsaeanne

I attribute this to the fact that jeans, much like jackets or shoes, can be worn over and over therefore, totally justifying the cost. (Or, little cost if you buy them at American Eagle – a great option for those of you on a budget.)

Photo Jan 05, 4 20 33 PM

I’m also very petite, about 5’2”, so finding a pair of jeans that fit my body without any alternations is rare.

These jeans are perfect. They fit slim through the thigh and slightly flare out from the knee, making my legs look a mile long! They also have a cool, worn-in feel to them and the stretch denim makes them very comfortable to wear all day long.

Let me not forget to mention that jeans can be worn with EVERYTHING in your closet. From blazers to cute tops to comfy tees, they are very versatile.

Case in point…

I styled this look with a chunky knit sweater and a chic belt cinched at the waist with block-heeled sandals to add height. I layered on lots of rings, wore my favorite gold watch and a pair of classic aviators.

_MG_8000_chelsaeanne

Tuck in a white men’s V-neck t-shirt with an oversized cardigan and a pair of pointed-toe pumps and you have a completely different look. Throw on a denim button down with a felt hat for a “street style” look. I could go on and on…

But I have a lots and lots to do today so I’m signing off! Find more jean inspiration on American Eagle’s blog here.

Hello, 2016!

ACTIVEWEAR: (c/o) Marshalls/SNEAKS: (c/o) Asics/BAG: (c/o) Marshalls

Hola amigos! I’m back from my mini-blog-siesta! I used my (much needed) break to enjoy the holidays and life. I also used this time to look back on my (previous) year…

_MG_4561_chelsaeanne

2015 was a freakin’ roller coaster. I left my job and abandoned a steady paycheck to freelance. Met some cool people; lost a couple friends (who provided good lessons). Realized I can’t succeed on my own – you need mentors and friends. Learned that things don’t always pan out the way you planned, or the way you think they should be. Attended my first New York Fashion Week and interviewed designers Sophia Webster, Rebecca Taylor and Rebecca Minkoff. Got into two car accidents. Cried a lot. Laughed a lot. Traveled a bit. Did a lot of yoga. Realized I needed to take better care of myself. And pushed myself – both online and offline – out of my comfort zone…

Yep, 2015 was nuts. Let’s just say that I’m glad it’s behind me. I’m also (very) happy to report that so far, 2016 has rocked.

So let’s jump right to it – my resolutions for 2016.

  1. Stay real and fearlessly blog.
  2. Write more.
  3. Less junk. Read more books, essays, listen to podcasts, etc. etc.
  4. Up my photography game
  5. Get 8 hours of sleep! Duh.
  6. Eat cleaner foods. Stay active. Learn what the term, “self care” means. 😉
  7. Travel travel travel
  8. Purchase investment piece, like a Chole “Drew” Leather Crossbody Bag… (sigh…)

Photo Nov 30, 6 32 36 PM

Ok, let’s get real now…

  1. Blog full-time by the end of the year.

The simple experience of being able to share my thoughts and outfits with you guys everyday is rewarding. To do it full-time would be awesome. My blog has helped me grow as a person. And it’s a ton of fun!

Making this one of my bigger goals this year.

I’ll end with this…

  1. Launch another personal project….

Be it personal shopping, editing wardrobes or styling on the side, I’d love to provide one-on-one consultations in both South Florida and throughout the country to readers who need some style help!

What do you think? Open to your feedback! Please feel free to comment below or shoot me an email at TheStyleBungalow@gmail.com with your thoughts and resolutions for 2016. 🙂

Wishing everyone a GREAT first Monday of the year!
