DRESS, SANDALS, LEMON CLUTCH, GOLD BRACELET, ORANGE BRACELET: (c/o) INC

Hello from Houston! I’m currently in Texas visiting my family and boyfriend for the holiday weekend. And boy is it HOT outside!

This summer heat has me wanting to live in maxi dresses. They’re my go-to summer uniform. That’s because they’re cute, comfortable and easy to wear when it’s hot outside. They also make summer dressing easy!

Blue Maxi Dress INC International Concepts

This dress, by INC International Concepts, is perfect for a hot day whether in the city (like Houston or West Palm Beach) or on a sun-drenched vacation. Made from incredibly soft and airy fabric, the off-shoulder silhouette and elastic waist make this dress flattering on just about any body type. It also has two slits on the side that reveal a hint of skin. Hello, Angelina moment!

I like this dress best with strappy leather sandals, like this pair from INC, but you can easily wear it with slip-ons or with wedge-heel platforms for additional height.

To complete the look, I styled this dress with gold bracelets (click here and here), a lemon box clutch (how adorable is this one?!) and with gold rings to continue the summer feel of this look.

Hello from Boston! I’m here until Wednesday on a brand trip (then, Houston until Tuesday) but figured I’d share some exciting news with you all -> luxury fashion brand, L.K. Bennett, is having an awesome sale right now. One you don’t want to miss…

L.K. Bennett Sale - The Style Bunglaow

I recently nabbed this bright orange mini crossbody bag from their sale and have worn it a ton! (You may have already noticed on my Instagram account – click here to see how I styled it earlier this week). I love it because it’s perfectly sized for brunch dates or nights out. It’s made out of saffiano leather and has a silk-lined interior with just enough space for your essentials – your cell phone, wallet and lipstick.

L.K. Bennett Sale - The Style Bunglaow

And the color! Doesn’t it remind you of an Hermès bag?! #love

L.K. Bennett Sale - The Style Bunglaow

Wear it to add a pop of color to your outfit. For example, with an all white cotton sundress or with a navy blouse and army green shorts, as shown here from Saks Fifth Avenue Boca Raton.

For those of you afraid to embrace color, don’t be! Bright accessories add life to your wardrobe. It’s an instant pick-me-up and a great way to elevate your look. Plus, you’ll carry this bag for years – it will never go out of style.

DRESS: (c/o) Saks Fifth Avenue Boca Raton/SHOES: Steve Madden/BAG: (c/o) Jennifer Haley/BRACELETS: H&M/HAT: H&M

Tularosa is a small village in New Mexico. It’s also the name of one of my favorite new LA-based labels, a sister line of the contemporary fashion label (and another fave) Lovers + Friends. Mega-bloggers like @SincerelyJules and @CollageVintage have been rocking their Cali-inspired designs nonstop lately. And so have I…

Blogger wearing Tularosa

Combining romantic dresses, textured jackets and embroidered tops, Tularosa’s every detail encapsulates a style that’s effortless and easy. Their collection is inspired by, “beautiful and timeless pieces collected along the way from road trips up the Cali coast to desert adventures and Baja getaways”, according to them. A Tularosa girl wears vibrant colors, loves salty ocean air and warm sunrays.

Blogger wearing Tularosa

Judging from their collection’s description, I think it’s safe to say that Tularosa definitely aligns with my style… Lately, I’m all about wearing clothing that’s easy to pull off. And pieces that are true to my mood and that suit my body. A true fashionista (believe it or not) never buys clothing at random. She carefully picks her wardrobe based on her identity and how she’s feeling at that moment in time.

Sometimes I want to be really casual, kind of beach-y since I live near the ocean. Sometimes I’m inspired by my Latin heritage and feel like wearing bright, bold colors. And sometimes when I travel to big cities like New York City, I feel like wearing darker colors and modern, streamlined pieces to match the location. I love mixing it up. It all depends on what mood I’m in… I don’t like sticking to one style.

Blogger wearing Tularosa

Changing things can open you up to so many style possibilities. I’m not saying that putting on a Tularosa dress will transform you into @SincerelyJules or @CollageVintage, I’m simply saying that wearing a super cute dress, like this one, can change your attitude that day and help make you feel joyful and carefree… like it did for me!

Mini-Getaway Pt. 2

Circa39 Hotel X The Style Bungalow

[Chelsae Anne | Photography]

My second day at Circa39 Hotel was filled with yummy bites around town, some lounging and shopping (of course) before heading back to West Palm Beach. I was a little tired from staying up late the night before (too much salsa dancing) but nevertheless ready to take on the week ahead. Maybe a change of scenery was exactly what I needed?

Circa39 Hotel X The Style Bungalow

This scalloped bikini by Pilyq has a seamless design that’s slightly supportive. The bottoms offer moderate coverage. The top runs a little small!

I completed this look with an old sun hat (similar here), tote and lace up sandals. Oh, and bangles of course (because who doesn’t wear jewelry to the pool?!)

For my second look that day, I wore an embroidered off-the-shoulder blouse by LoveShackFancy from Saks Fifth Avenue Boca Raton with denim shorts from H&M. Unfortunately, this top is no longer available online – but if you want to check out more from this line (they have so many cute dresses in stock right now), click here for more… (And stay tuned for another cameo from LoveShackFancy later this month!)

My last look was from Tularosa, a new favorite in the blogging scene. This romper is supposed to be worn the other way – but I wore it backwards because the V-neck was a little too deep for me. Plus, I thought the keyhole looked cuter in the front!

I normally wear a size 00-0 (petite, size 24 jeans, 5’2) and this romper fit me perfectly! I loved it. If you’re tall, be sure to order a size up. According to reviews, this line tends to run on the smaller/shorter side.

Mini-Getaway Pt. 1

[Chelsae Anne | Photography]

This past weekend, I escaped West Palm Beach and traveled to Miami Beach for a mini-getaway with my best friend, Jennifer. We stayed at Circa39 Hotel, a charming boutique hotel located just across the street from Miami’s white sandy beaches, in the heart of Miami Beach’s “Wundermile” – a stretch of developments near South Beach and the Design District.

On Friday, we grabbed drinks and light bites at the hotel’s bar, Wunderbar, and had the most delicious (well, more like 3) glasses of sangria. Weather was iffy so mid-way through drinks, I ran outside to the courtyard to quickly take a picture of my outfit.

Sorry it’s not great quality! But in case you missed it on Instagram, here it is again:

We spent the rest of the night relaxing and enjoying the hotel! My room was perfect. It had a tropical feel to it with hardwood floors, big plantation-style shutters and lots of window light. I also loved how roomy it was…

_MG_0167 (1)

On Saturday morning, we shot a couple looks for the blog and then relaxed by the pool for the rest of the afternoon! Surrounded by lush tropical landscape, the pool deck was cozy and super convenient for quickly cooling off (around this time of year, Florida can get really, really hot). It was also conveniently located next to WunderBar… #timeforsangria #again

In my last blog post (scroll down for more), I mentioned loving the line, Prose & Poetry from Saks Fifth Avenue Boca Raton. This top is from them as well! I wore it with white high-waisted shorts from Finders Keepers and with baby blue heels. You can wear this top as a mini skirt or with the matching skirt.

We concluded the day with the most delicious dinner at Essensia Restaurant + Lounge at The Palms Hotel & Spa. The restaurant’s farm-to-table philosophy shined through the cuisine. Everything was very fresh and flavorful. My best friend and I started with the Tempura Avocado (amazing!) and the Watermelon Caprese (both of which, were recommended to us by the chef who greeted us at our table with a warm smile and friendly introduction to the menu). For our main course, Jennifer had the NY Strip and I had the Pan Seared Natural Chicken with parmesan-pea polenta. It was hard to choose a favorite between the two (both were perfectly done) but if it were up to me, I’d go with the chicken!

Photo Jun 18, 7 03 34 PM

(Sorry for the picture quality! It was pouring so the lighting was rough!)

For dessert, Jennifer ordered a small pastelito and I ordered vegan, gluten-free chocolate mousse (also recommend to us by the chef!). We ended with two cappuccinos and a full stomach. Overall, it was outstanding! If you’re in the area, definitely check out this restaurant!

Happy first day of summer everyone! Today marks the start of sweet summertime, long days, backyard barbecues, and sweltering heat here in South Florida. It’s also one of the longest days of the year! That’s because of the summer solstice. AKA the time of year when the sun reaches the highest point in the sky!

I’m back from my mini-getaway in Miami Beach. I spent Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Circa39 Hotel. Even though I spend a lot of time in Miami, it’s nice to be there for three consecutive days, especially with my best friend and photographer. Miami is one of my favorite cities! Anyways, stay tuned for the recap later this week – I’ll be sharing 5 new looks with you guys and a peek inside the hotel!

Thank God it’s almost Friday! While it seems like an appealing option to work from home, it’s not always that simple! Sometimes I find myself working until 10 at night because I can’t turn that “work-mode” switch off! I figure, “just one more email…” and next thing I know, I’m at my computer for another hour or so. Anyone else feel the same way? Comment below to share your experience or to share some of the ways you’ve learned to manage your work-life balance!

Fortunately, I’m taking a mini-vaca this weekend with my best friend in Miami Beach. We’re staying at the cutest boutique hotel called Circa39, dining at The Palms Hotel on Saturday and soaking up the sun ALL weekend long! Be sure to follow along on Instagram and Snapchat (@stylebungalow) to see what we’re up to!

Today’s outfit is so cute and simple! I’m wearing an Alice & Olivia classic shirtdress exclusively from Saks Fifth Avenue Boca Raton with black slides from Marshalls (similar here and here) and a hat from H&M.

The great thing about a shirtdress is that it can easily take you from work to lunch to cocktails in a matter of minutes. All you have to do is switch out your accessories. So it’s a great piece to have in your wardrobe and one that’s super easy to style. I’ve seen girls wear shirtdresses with sneakers, lace up gladiator sandals, heeled sandals… you name it! Anyone can pull this style off.

DRESS: Rebecca Taylor (c/o) Saks Fifth Avenue/SANDALS: (c/o) Pilyq/BRACELETS: H&M/SUNNIES: Here

If you could live in one piece of clothing everyday for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Maxi dresses. I would live in loose-fitted maxi dresses for the rest of my life and be A-OK with it. I love them (a little too much), especially during the hot summer months in Florida. It doesn’t matter if I’m running errands or hitting up happy hour or jumping on a plane, a maxi dress always fits the occasion – no matter what. Am I right, guys?! Comment below with “YAAAS” if you agree.

These types of dresses aren’t impractical. They’re easy to style and loads of fun to wear. The kind of dress you randomly twirl in at Whole Foods while shopping for flowers. #truestory Or hide in when you’re feeling out of shape. Or the kind of dress you wear to feel absolutely beautiful

You know that feeling you get when you meet someone and “know” they’re going to be in your life for long time? Like when you meet a friend or your boyfriend for the first time? That’s how I am when I shop. I know when I know. That simple. So the second I spotted this flowy number by Rebecca Taylor at Saks Fifth Avenue in Boca Raton, I knew it would look amazing and be such a fun dress to shoot in. Did I mention it’s on sale?

Photo Jun 10, 11 26 56 AM

Despite being a tad too big for me, this dress still rocks. It’s stamped with a meteor motif, and has chic feminine details like a lace inset and a tiered skirt. Style it with a leather jacket and heels or with lace up sandals.

This totes adorbs Gracilia top can be purchased at Saks Fifth Avenue Boca Raton or by clicking here. I love it because it feels feminine, (totally my gig) light and romantic. I also love how it’s fastened in the back by a single ribbon. Sexy, right?! Especially when the wind catches it…

P.S.: One more thing…. Please don’t forget to keep loving others, regardless of their thoughts, actions, religious or political views. Sometimes one small act of kindness, such as befriending someone who feels alone or who has no friends in their life or who has hatred in their heart, can dramatically change things and prevent someone from succumbing to mental illness or to acts of violence. We’ve seen mass shootings one too many times now. And it pains me to think that a little bit of love could have made a difference… In the face of all this hate and violence, please unite, continue to love one another and #PrayForOrlando.
