As someone who used to spend hours staring at the computer screen, deleting then retyping over and over and over again the perfect “pitch” to editors and writers, I know how difficult it is to be recognized in a newspaper let alone in a major magazine. Since having that job in public relations, I’ve learned to treasure (and celebrate) each and every moment where my blog gets featured on a website, in a magazine or on TV (yes, TV. More on that later. [insert moment of shock here]).
A couple months ago, I was contacted by Coastal Living to shoot some looks for an upcoming article featuring gifts from the best boutiques in Florida. I was excited, said “yes” and together with Chelsae Anne, rocked out a shoot. I was more than happy with the outcome from our shoot (mainly because the outfits were so cute!); it was SO hard for me to keep it a secret.
Anyways, since magazines typically feature only one or two photos from their shoots I decided to compile all of the outtakes and share a little behind-the-scenes action with you guys. You’ll see the same pose but in different outfits. Our adorable “props” for this shoot and more.
It doesn’t matter if you’ve been featured a million times or once in a magazine, you still get excited to see your picture and name! Thank you Coastal Living for opportunity; be sure to pick up a copy of this issue at your local bookstore and as always, thanks for stopping by today!
