Self-Worth it

[Chelsae Anne | Photographer]

DRESS: Self-Portrait/BAG: Gucci – similar here, here and here/SANDALS: Gucci/EARRINGS: vintage Chanel/HAT: similar here

I must admit, today’s outfit was a bit of an “impulse” buy. As I was scrolling through Nordstrom for outfits to feature during the Takeover, I saw this dress by Self-Portrait and without hesitation clicked, “add to shopping bag.” Why? Because every time I wear a Self-Portrait dress, I not only feel feminine and beautiful, but so impressed with the quality. Therefore, making the dress 100% worth it.

(Heads up, this dress runs small – I’m wearing an XS and it fits me perfectly but I’m also very petite. If you’re worried about sizing, I suggest ordering a size up or ordering two/returning one. Nordstrom has a fantastic return policy!)

SWEATER, MIDI SKIRT, GUCCI SANDALS: Nordstrom/GUCCI BAG: love this one here, here and here/WATCH: (c/o) Michele Watches/EARRINGS: vintage Chanel

Heavy in rotation for the past few years since starting my blog, midi skirts have become one of my all-time favorite closet staples. I have like ten. Maybe twenty? #ThisIsANoJudgementZone They’re fresh and feminine. Demure and proper. And like a hunter in the wild, I can spot them a mile away at department stores, just like I did with this designer version from ALC. #attack

I’m BACK! Back in beautiful, beautiful Florida. I’ve been in Dallas the past four days attending a blogger conference called #rStheCon. From brand meetings to classes on ways I can grow + expand my blog to cocktail parties and late night dinners with (new and old) friends, it’s been a whirlwind. I’m wiped out. So much in fact, that I’ve completely lost my voice. Not sure if it’s from allergies or exhaustion? Or the copious amounts of champagne all weekend? Either way, I need some serious rest.

BUTTON-DOWN, SHORTS, SANDALS, BAG – similar here, here and here, SUNNIES: (c/o) Nordstrom

Tucked in. Tucked out. Tied in a bow. Tied in a knot. Nothing is more chic (and easy to style) than a white button-down. I firmly believe it’s a wardrobe essential. I own like 10. I have one for meetings, one for lazy days, one for the pool and beach, etc. etc. Each button-down has a different look and feel to it; adding instant polish to whatever it is I’m wearing that day. And each one, I’ve worn over and over and over! Thus, making it a great investment!

Simply put, a white button-down belongs in your closet. Don’t have one? Don’t worry…

Hello, hello from Houston!

I’m back in Texas visiting my boyfriend and family for the weekend. Planning to be back in Florida tomorrow. Wishing I could buy a jet plane so that I could travel back and forth more often. Ugh, anyone else feel the same? Have you lived through a long distance relationship? If so, I would love to hear your stories and tips for making it work!

Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale is almost over!

Last weekend, I snapped some of my favorite looks (some on sale… some full price) that I couldn’t help but share with you guys!

Soooo without further ado…

Look 1: Rails makes the best button down shirts! I love this one because it can be during (almost) all seasons. With shorts or with jeans, it’s easy to style and very comfortable to wear. This one is sold out – but there are a couple styles still in stock.

If there’s one trend I can’t get enough of this year, it’s joggers. I bought this pair at H&M a million years ago and immediately fell in love because of how comfortable they were (many pairs have an elastic waist) and how the silhouette showed off my shoes, without having to hem anything.
